Sights of Vanuatu
The Banks Islands - named by Cook after Joseph Banks are at the far northen
end on the island chain. The villages and jungle have changed little in
the lastt couple of centuries.
Uruaparpara - a volcano breached by the sea and
the village on the inner shores of the island. Chief Joseph will arrange
local guides for a jungle scramble to the crater rim.
Waterfall and lagoon on Gaua island- here the
local village women perform an amazing water dance as part of local custom.
Reef Islands - huge deserted coral reef with wild
snorkeling - watch out for sharks!
Santo - US WW2 base in the Pacific - fascinating
snorkel and scuba sites around the coast . Rainforest and jungle treks
to be explored with a local guide.
