Yellowstone
National Park Wyoming,
Travelling To Yellowstone Yellowstone is located in the northwestern corner of the state of Wyoming, in the American Mid-West. It borders the state of Montana. The park is extremely well placed on the road network, and also has nearby airport facilities.
By Air The nearest airports with regular services are Jackson Hole Airport 56 miles to the south and Cody Airport, 52 miles to the east. Both airports have regular commuter services to the likes of Denver, and often have winter and summer season charters by the big airlines. Alternatively, many visitors to the region choose to fly into the much-more-accessible Denver, Colorado or Salt Lake City, Utah, airports and catch a bus or rent a car to reach Yellowstone.
By Road From the south, take Highway 191 north to the park's South Entrance. From the north (Montana), take Highway 89 south to the park's North Entrance. From the east, take Highway 14 to the park's East Entrance. From the west (Montana), take Highway 20 to the park's West Entrance.
Public Transport in Yellowstone There is no public transport provision within the park.
