Las Vegas Nightlife

The Las Vegas nightlife is like none other on earth. Every hotel offers vast amounts of casino floor space, offering Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Keno, Poker and Slot Machines. You can sit at any bar and play video screens with each of the gambling games on, or at one of the real tables. Wherever you are, drinks are on the house (with a small tip, of course).

You don't have to be in a hotel to gamble. Casinos can be found everywhere you look. Even the airport is cluttered with slot machines to milk as much as possible out of you from the moment you arrive till the moment you depart.

Adult Nightlife

Various adult shows and strip joints can be found throughout the city. Leaflets and flyers are posted everywhere, though some of the establishments are less than pleasant places to be. Be wary of your surroundings at all times.

Nightclubs

Most of the hotels offer a nightclub of some sort. These are strictly over-21 and can often be a little more "adult" than the clubs back home. You have been warned! The following examples are slightly more conventional:

  • House of Blues at Mandalay Bay

When the live music and dining ends, head upstairs to the club
for a variety of music styles and DJing. See door staff for
    tickets.

  • Ovation at Paris Hotel

Weekly house DJs playing music from the 80s, 90s and now.

  • BiKiNi's at the Rio

14,000sq ft of sound and light, with four rooms of partying,
a lava lounge and a VIP area.

Shows

Each of the larger hotels offer a show or two in their in-house theatres. There are also many large musical acts that stop off in Vegas on their tours. Shows worthy of note include:

  • Siegfried & Roy

Acclaimed magic show at The Mirage.

  • EFX

Musical show with plenty of special effects. At the MGM Grand.

Under 21s

Unfortunately Las Vegas at night does not cater too much for those under 21. Most hotels offer some kind of children's entertainment and amusement arcades, but understand that the real money is with the adults, so no one will go out of their way for the kids.

The Circus Circus complex on the northern part of the Strip does offer 24 hour children's entertainment in a circus atmosphere.
