Shopping in Las Vegas

Despite growing up principally as a gambling and adult mecca, with the only form of retail therapy being the hotel shop, selling "I Won in Vegas" caps, the city now holds quite a status as a shopping centre.

Some notable establishments include:

  • The Fashion Show Mall

Location: The Strip, just north of Treasure Island

A large mall featuring principally fashion outlets and large American chains. Also some other specialist stores worth visiting.

  • Forum Shops at Caesar's

    Location: Caesar's Palace

Situated completely indoors, yet you'll be convinced otherwise. Built to resemble the streets of ancient Rome or Venice, there are statues, canals and a moody lighting effect that sees the artificial sky turn from day to night and back again every 30 minutes. Shops are largely expensive designer boutiques, but there are a few intermingled gems to keep the less rich folk happy.

  • Aladin's Shopping Mall

    Location: Aladin Hotel

Very similar to Caesar's Forum Shops, this more recently built version themes itself on an African bazaar, again with moody lighting and the eerie feeling that you're outside. Shops are similar to those of Caesar's.
