Malta Shopping

Modern open markets, or 'montys' as they are affectionally known, are held in each local township on different days of the week.

The open markets are the place to shop. They are held every day in a different district of the island and daily in the capital city of Valletta - but you need to be early as they open at 8am and are gone by 12 noon.

If you like higher end shopping there are shopping malls in the main tourist districts that would be delighted to take your money.

Dry cleaning
is unbelievably expensive on Malta! You can buy new cloths for less than it costs to have them dry cleaned!
